Boots N’ Cats: Burning Up the Blogosphere
SFR’s tumblr odyssey has been pretty minimal of late but times have changed. First off I’d like to send a big rec out to fellow bloggers Boots N’ Cats, who along with Moleskin keep me off the smack by delivering some stern tunes on a daily basis. Clubroot: Sonic Router Mix
Sonic Router’s predictably on it editorial staff come up trumps with a mix of late night steppas from Clubroot. Lurking in the no man’s land between the 3am garage of Burial and the punishing bass of Kryptic Minds, Clubroot’s debut self-titled would’ve been one of my top picks from last year had I actually made a top picks from last year list which now that I actually think about it is a well good idea and would be real edgy and French if I did it at the end of this year and not last year like everyone else did. The Swiss and the Cast are back for another seiszure of tummy rumbling, synth scandals and pringle popping beats. Bringing you more stylish selections from this week’s tunes that literally took ages to find. We’ve gone through a multi pack of 243 monster munch (only the roast beef ones as well) while recording which is why the level of chatting shit may have slightly increased. You’ll be hearing some melodic and atmospheric creations from the likes of Kerogen rubbing up against Miles’ back-to-back bad boi finish to the cast: a dinosauric slice of bass from Consequence slowly brewed into none other than DFRNT’s break down mafia. Finally, the Swiss Family Robinson are back and they’re pretty fucking pissed off. Delayed for various reasons that will become clear when you try and work out what we’re saying at the beginning, we bring you more late-night-steppas-delights and also some new professional sounding jingles that were recorded at great personal expense with some top industry cats. The move to mixcloud has been pretty tough on us all, Louis has eaten nothing but bread and chicken stock for weeks and says he can’t even see his own hands.
